The Advantages of Hawaii Weddings

It is hard to even determine a good starting place for listing the advantages of Hawaii weddings because they include so many things. For example, you have the choice of locations--beach or mountains-which in the case of Hawaii usually means volcano, historical landmarks, and other places.

Then, you have the weather. There are very few times of the year when Hawaii weather is not conducive to outdoor activities, if couples choose outdoor venues for their Hawaii weddings. The "rainy season" is considered to be November through March, although, depending on your location, rain may mean a brief shower followed by brilliant sunshine. Only in Hilo, on the Big Island of Hawaii, can you expect to see an abundance of rain, as it can receive over 180 inches a year.

The weather usually does not vary ten degrees between daytime and nighttime temperatures. This means that Hawaii weddings can be held at night, because the temperature variation will not be all that different. Even during the day, it will not be scorching hot, as the average daytime temperature is between 80°F and 85°F.

Another one of the advantages of Hawaii weddings is that couples can choose from traditional ones, such as those performed for the Kings and Queens who once ruled these islands to those which incorporate Hawaiian cultures such as luaus and other rituals. There are also a number of churches on the islands which are happy to share their facilities with those who wish to have a religious ceremony. All major denominations are represented, as well as Catholic, Jewish, Orthodox, and other religions.
