Hawaii Earthquake, Big News from Iceland

The 6.6 earthquake on 15 October only Hawaii Hawaii shortly after seven o'clock in the morning watch on the Kona side of Big for Iceland, we live on the Hilo side. I have to get up my morning coffee, and as a native language of southern California, because the house started shaking I knew exactly what it was. Our house seemed to breathe with the movement as an essential vehicle moved and he stressed. We heard rustling in the house swayed as hanging lamps. Iceland has a large active volcanoSmall earthquakes do very often, but is 6.6 rather than shock.

Our Pets, Gracie, Charlotte (cats) and Maxwell (the dog) Art insane. While the earth shook, I looked through the window in the house of Charlotte is desperate as if to say,

"HEY! Do you see something going on here?" LET ME IN, I promise not to eat Iki! "(The Bird).

I could only stay in port security does not know how bad thecould be tremor. After the second aftershock we went out to connect with Gracie, Maxwell and occur mainly Charlotte. They were all very poor and wanted to caress attention. Hours later, everything seemed to forget the ordeal.

News reports have talked to many people we met were worried by North Korea. The tourists were from the beaches to the next level, concerned about a tsunami that was probably a good idea. No tsunami was expected laterannounced.

TV stations have been out for a couple. News began to speak only of a lesser degree of damage to houses and roads with fallen trees, over time, which would have increased the rating to come.

Performance on the Big Island was about 45,000 people, 58,000 on Maui, and 291,000 lost on Oahu. Lines formed down the block in the ABC stores on Oahu, the people were allowed out of four for the purchase of water, snacks and batteries. In addition, however, subways to get food beforethey ran out. Other restaurants try to sell their goods in a hurry, because the loss of cooling.

Newsreader asked that people not drive or use their phone. flights were canceled, but people still flocked to the airport may wish for a speedy withdrawal.

The nearest town is for us Pahoa, less than two miles. We had no idea how the main street shops, had been issued for the construction of the twenties. I drove through it yesterday, however, and everything seemedpicturesque as ever. I have not talked shop owners to see if there was no damage that I had not noticed. The post office was full as usual, so I think life goes on in the past Pahoa Hawaii earthquake.

The information now shows pictures of local streets with huge cracks and even a historic stone church was crumbling now made in a heap. A hospital patient has had to move to another facility because of earthquake damage. A question that remains unanswered is what effect this hasour active volcano, if any.

Last night, October 16 we had a thunder "huge" and the rain storm. News Alert flash flood alert is sent. One could imagine, Iki (the bird), Maxwell (the dog), Gracie, and especially Charlotte (the cats) had a very restless night and probably wonder if the Hawaii earthquake caused the sky to fall. Do not worry, even if I only fed a nice breakfast and they all seem in order, including Iki (the bird).
